This printed pattern from the late 40s features an adorable dress and bonnet combo. From the pattern envelope, "Smock a dress-and-bonnet set for your toddler daughter. It's good style for wash materials because smocking is every bit tubbable. Below the yoke are one row of cable smocking and three rows of wave, forming diamonds. There's a beginner smocking lesson in the pattern to tell you how to do it. Add the flower sprays for an extra touch. Six strand cotton is good for both the embroidery and the smocking."
The printed pattern is cut with transfer included. Instructions are included. The pattern has been stored a long time, and the envelope has yellowing, edgewear, and tape to reinforce it. The year 1944 is written on it in ink.
