This original vintage 1940 Simplicity pattern is suitable for creating a wonderful vintage classic bathrobe or housecoat for your little girl. From the pattern envelope, "Girls' Bathrobe or Housecoat: Style 1, bathrobe, fronts and under collar are faced and rolled over on outside to form show collar, patch pockets trim the fronts, braid or bias tape trimming on pockets, sleeves and facing is optional. Long one piece sleeves. Style 2, housecoat, is dart-fitted on front shoulders and closed in front with a slide fastener. Tailored collar, Patch pockets trim fronts. Short sleeves are gathered at top and tucked at lower edge. A tie-belt is used with both styles."
The unprinted pattern is complete and appears never used. Instructions are included. The pattern has been stored a long time, and the envelope has edgewear that has been reinforced with clear tape.
This outfit fits a 23-inch breast. Finished back length of robe is 34 inches.
